Someone once said: "Who would venture upon the journey of life, if compelled to begin it at the end?" So, as we begin our study of life science, we will not begin at the end, but at the beginning. We will start our journey at the simplest level of organization and follow the path that will lead us to an understanding of life; its complexities and beauty.
